On the black slide that comes up when the handle is pulled to open the spreader and releasing product you will find a curved line about 1/2 and inch from the top. Set the spreader to a setting of 2 on the handle. When you pull the lever as if you were releasing product, the indented black line should line up with the curved part of the green hopper at the top of the opening. If it does not align, then you need to adjust the cable that run from the handle down to the hopper door. This is done using pliers of wrench by turning the square nut at the bottom of the cable.
