Is that something I can only access at the store? I realize that if there's things I don't know that I can ask my coworkers but I feel like there's a significant amount I don't know. EDIT: I know how to make drinks like the back of my hand. It's just everything else I'm not so sure about. It is something you can only access in the store (well, there does exist a folder floating around out there with PDFs of some stuff but it is in blatant violation of Starbucks policy and could contain out of date materials). Go to the back, double click on 'Portal', select the 'barista' option, type the password (if you don't know it ask a coworker, it's the same password company wide, we all know it) and you have access to all documents relevant to a barista. I would recommend starting with looking through the Beverage Resource Manual.
It will tell you a lot of beverage price ringing policies, expiration times, serving standards, etc. Good place to start.
The Safety, Security, and Health Resource Manual is pretty dry but is good info to know in case anything were to happen, Howard forbid. And you'll have the added benefit of probably being the only person in the store to have read the thing - no one does. Furthermore, the Partner Resource Manual is an expansion of the Partner Guide you were given (hopefully) on hire. It will have a lot of the same info but it will have some additional info as well. It is useful for questions about pay, benefits, promotions, etc. Playbook materials are available on the portal but honestly for Playbook it is best to ask a shift supervisor, store manager, or a seasoned knowledgeable barista even.
